Hidota Health Center
Doma’s Hidota Health Center is designed to be holistic, offering support and empowering the community of Bora. We will be breaking ground this fall, and anticipate opening in the Spring of 2012!
Maternal Health
- Vitamins will be given to the mother during and after pregnancy
- Pregnant mothers will have regular visits, specialized tests, and examinations with trained medical professionals
- Mothers will receive delivery assistance
- Post Delivery, post-birth visits and exams will be made to ensure the mother is healthy and recovering
Infant/Child Health
- Well-Child Care: Healthy children will receive regular visits and exams to ensure that they are growing and developing appropriately for their age
- Immunizations: Children will receive immunizations to prevent life-threatening diseases such as polio, measles, tetanus, etc.
- Sick Care: As children face illness and sickness, the center will provide visits and exams to diagnose conditions and provide the necessary care
Education
Mothers:
- The center will offer guidance, education, and resources for mothers
- During pregnancy, mothers will be offered education in simple healthcare practices to implement for healthy pregnancies
- Mothers will also be give the necessary information and skills to ensure infant and child care and development
Community:
- The whole community can learn basic hygiene: hand washing, safe food handling, clean water, nutrition, etc.
